Wood burning stoves and fireplaces across Easingwold and the surrounding villages.
Installation in Easingwold
Easingwold is a handsome Georgian market town of mellow brick and stone, ringed by farmhouses, cottages and rural homes in the villages between York and the Hambleton hills. Many have an original chimney worth lining, while converted barns and newer builds often need a twin-wall flue fitting from scratch, so the stove draws cleanly and sits right in the room.
Nearby at Husthwaite, just north of Easingwold, we fitted a Stovax Chesterfield 5 into a bespoke Georgian-style fireplace in a garden room, keeping the underfloor heating clear beneath the hearth. We cover Easingwold and the villages of Husthwaite, Crayke, Raskelf, Stillington and Coxwold.
Where cleaner-burning or smoke-control questions matter, we specify Ecodesign-ready, energy-efficient stoves where appropriate and explain the rules in our DEFRA and smoke control guide.
Local knowledge
Easingwold’s Georgian brick townhouses and the cottages in the villages around it usually have original chimneys that reward keeping: sound structures with big, tired flues that come back to life with a correctly sized stainless liner. We match the surround and hearth to the age of the room, Georgian proportions where the house asks for them, cleaner lines where it has been modernised.
Garden rooms and extensions are a growing part of our work here. At Husthwaite, just north of the town, we built a bespoke Georgian-style fireplace around a Stovax Chesterfield 5 in a new garden room, keeping the underfloor heating clear beneath the granite hearth. Details like that, the pipe runs under the floor, the flue route through a warm roof, are exactly why the job starts with a proper home survey rather than a guess.
Out in the villages, from Crayke and Coxwold to Raskelf and Stillington, we fit everything from farmhouse multi-fuel stoves to twin-wall systems for barns and outbuildings with no chimney at all. Whatever the building, the job ends the same way: tested, commissioned and HETAS certificated, with Building Control notified for you.

Easingwold questions
Yes, we already have. At Husthwaite we fitted a Stovax Chesterfield 5 into a bespoke Georgian-style fireplace in a new garden room. A twin-wall flue means no chimney is needed, and we design the hearth around details like underfloor heating.
Yes, with the right design. At our Husthwaite install we kept the heating loops clear beneath the granite hearth and planned the fixings so nothing was drilled blind. It is a survey question, and one we answer before any work starts.
Smoke control areas are set by the council and the maps do change, so we check your address against the current North Yorkshire smoke control rules as part of the free home survey. Most of the stoves we fit are DEFRA-exempt and Ecodesign anyway, because they burn cleaner and keep every option open.
All of them. Husthwaite, Crayke, Raskelf, Stillington, Coxwold, Brandsby and the surrounding countryside. We work the whole Leeds to Scarborough corridor, and Easingwold sits right in the middle of it.
A straightforward supply and fit typically runs from around £1,800 to £3,000, chimney lining usually lands between £2,500 and £4,500, and a garden room twin-wall system starts from around £3,500. One written price after the free survey, everything included.
