Not every room can take a woodburner, and not everyone wants the upkeep. A flat without a chimney, a modern open-plan space or a rental can all suit an electric fire instead. The better models look convincing, switch on instantly and need almost nothing once fitted.
Fire FX is the contemporary range from Stovax and Gazco, so it is built by a maker with a long track record. Chris shows you the options on the survey, and Carl fits the fire or builds it into a media wall for a clean, built-in finish.

What is Fire FX?
Fire FX is the modern fire brand from Stovax and Gazco, the long-established British maker. The range covers electric fires, inset models and media walls with a realistic flame effect, and Carl supplies and fits them as part of his range.
Do you fit gas fires?
No. Carl fits woodburning stoves, fireplaces and electric fires only. For a flame effect without a flue or a chimney, an electric Fire FX model is usually the answer.
Can an electric fire go in a media wall?
Yes. Inset and media-wall electric fires are made for exactly that: a clean built-in look in a modern room, with no flue, no chimney and very little disruption to fit.
